My bread making has been a bit hit-and-miss of late, what with being away a few weekends, and then thinking I’d killed my starter….but I resuscitated it, and having got it back up to full-strength, tried my luck with an all-sourdough loaf today (I added some starter to a yeasted loaf last weekend). And I’m pleased as punch with the results!
It came out of the oven looking and smelling amazing…but I’ve been misled by a loaf’s good looks before…
But look! The holes! The gorgeous airy holes!
I’ll stop boasting now, and get on with the more pressing business of eating it with some bacon and Brussels sprout soup.
